Church House

This is a Grade II* listed property dating from the 18th Century. The building boasts a number of fine details, many of which are specifically mentioned under the listing. CaSA were asked to make strategic interventions that respected these details and to modernise the functionality as a family home.

In preparing the designs CaSA explored the full building history and identified former stages of development. The proposals were prepared to address the family's needs whilst also aesthetically improve previous less favourable additions. Through the work a better balance was given to the whole rear elevation. High quality materials were used in place of formerly detrimental materials which included sourcing reclaimed stone tiles for the extension roof.
