Napier Road

Located within the Clifton conservation area in Bristol, this project includes the addition of a single storey rear extension, extensive internal refurbishment and a side extension which forms a new entrance porch.

The proposal provides a more practical internal configuration and develops a strong connection to the rear garden. The new Garden room and terrace offer direct access into the garden, which is also accessible from the relocated kitchen and dining space. Read more...

The design strives to carefully integrate the new and existing, whilst improving the overall aesthetic appearance. A subtle contemporary language is developed, with high quality materials, including zinc, render and stone, which will weather naturally over time.

The clients were keen to create a more energy efficient home, with the new extensions built to a high environmental standard. External insulation was also installed on the existing building, along with replacement windows and solar thermal panels. The whole house has been revived to meet modern living expectations.
