01
Steps to a Sustainable Future:
Sustainability and design are always at the core of what we do, but our clients can benefit from either single or combined steps, depending on their particular requirements.
01
Exceptional Design
The most sustainable homes are those which stands the test of time and trends. Exceptional design is at the centre of everything we do, from small extensions to large family homes.
Our skills and experience have been used to achieve planning consents in the most sensitive World Heritage sites, as well as via ‘Para 84', allowing a small number of new homes in open countryside considered of ‘exceptional design’ quality.
Our homes have been recognised widely by local and National design awards.

02
Reduce Our Footprint
Be it using natural, low-carbon or local materials, or taking a ‘fabric first’ approach to the construction, we can minimize both the embodied carbon and the operational carbon impact of our homes.
As well as reducing our reliance on fossil fuels, we create homes which are both healthy and comfortable to live in all year round.

03
Adapt and Re-use
We specialise in creating beautiful, award-winning homes out of existing, poorly designed and constructed buildings. Designing to combine the new with the existing is a skill set which CaSA has refined over many years, making us leaders in retrofit design.
Not all buildings need to be demolished in pursuit of contemporary architecture. Great design and a willingness to be bold can produce exciting architecture with a sustainable agenda.

04
Passivhaus
‘Passivhaus’ is a standard which delivers comfortable and healthy homes, requiring minimal heating and cooling and can only be achieved with accredited architects.
We apply the principles, knowledge and our experience to all our projects, even if your desire is not to achieve formal accreditation.
Our Passivhaus projects have been achieved on sites which challenge these strict principles - resulting in exciting and beautiful homes.
